"Sonetlumiere" originates from a contemplation of everyday scenarios, which I’m automatically drawn to because of the artificial light that frames them in a particular way, as if they were waiting to be observed. Light enables their existence and makes them visible. Photography allows me to isolate them from their surroundings and becomes the tool capable to retain this ephemeral scene.
In this project I explore the beauty of ordinary life, the spatial manifestation of colours, the play of light and human presence. I appropriate these elements and let myself imagine stories about what happened inside each captured image. In this way, I satisfy my constant curiosity about everything that surrounds me and experience the different ways of life that coexist in the overcrowded city I live in. Also, I can reevaluate my own definition of ‘everydayness’ and connect with the present moment.
