I started this project as a form of grief, with the intention of finding the explanations that I couldn’t get when I was a child. Through documents, images and my family album, I rebuilt my childhood, especially the relationship with my mother, in order to understand the complexity of our bond.
Being observant of her story was, without any doubt, the foremost pathway to find myself.
"Without rain nothing grows" became a process of reconciliation with my roots. It allowed me to commence questioning all my inherited beliefs and patterns to finally acknowledge myself as an individual capable of forging its own fate, just like my mother wrote in her notes: to disobey is essential to be free.
